about

Assemblage / Finissage / Demontage is the process the new trio of Joker Nies, Ulrich Phillipp and Peter Geisselbrecht is proposing for their new release FINISSAGE. Joker Nies, the elektro-sapiens experimenting with a wide range of electronics for live improvisation and sound design; Ulrich Phillipp, the bassist working in the areas of improvised and experimental music, sound installations, audio art and performance; and Peter Geisselbrecht, who is prolific on the keys as well as the inside of the piano - this trio's approach includes the "assemblage”, creating a base for sounds to interact with; "finissage" to further differentiate their sounds in real time; and "demontage", a playful deconstruction of all that has been created before.
